The primary role of the Executive Director is to work with Leonardo’s Board of Directors and management to develop and establish long-range goals, strategies, and assures the success of the organization. This position oversees all scopes of the operation to meet the mission. The mission of Leonardo’s Children’s Museum is to enrich and inspire children of all ages through creative learning opportunities.

Qualified candidates must have the following:
- The ability to build partnerships and rapport with education, donors, and community partners.
- Excellent project management, research, data tracking and reporting skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing volunteers or committees.
- The ability to work and lead projects independently but work within a team environment.
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate experience in finances and accounting
- Good fundraising track record
- Demonstrate a successful history of operating large 501©3 agencies
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or education
- Four or more years of business, non-profit or education experience preferred.
- Grant writing skills
